The Portland Saturday Market is the largest continually operating open air market in the nation. The market is a main location, where over 300 local artisans showcase and sell their one-of-a-kind art. The Portland Saturday Market has a casual and friendly atmosphere, where you can mosey through over 250 booths. The market has been operating since 1974 and has continually been a favorite shopping destination to find unique and local handcrafted goods.
The Portland Saturday Market a positive experience for visitors and local artists. The Market has over 750,000 visitors a year, which generates an estimated $8 million in gross sales. This makes it a very beneficial event, for the historic Old Town/Chinatown neighborhood, where it has set up shop for over 40 years.
There is such an assortment of arts and crafts, that almost anyone will find what they’re looking for. Some ideas include: fused glass art, baby gifts, musical instruments, pottery, jewelry, clothing, and home furnishings, to name a few. There are over 250 booths, which features businesses and artists from the NW region.

The Portland Saturday Market is located at Portland’s Waterfront, just south of the Burnside Bridge and within the historic Old Town-Chinatown. The physical address is 2 SW Naito Parkway

Special Information
The Portland Saturday Market runs the first weekend of March through the last Saturday prior to Christmas Eve.
Weekend Market hours are: Saturdays – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays – 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Nearby parking includes the Smart Park garage located at NW Naito Blvd and Davis Street and with a minimum $25 purchase at The Market you receive two hours of free parking at any of downtown’s Smart Park parking garages. Also, the market is along the MAX light rail system, for relatively easy public transportation.
